The Spring Sprint

Wow! What a busy March and April! Between seed starting, planting, and harvesting, I haven't had a lot of time to do much else.

Tulips were slow to bloom, but when they did, it was a race to get them pulled and stored. I still have a few left, but ranunculus have taken over. I've been very happy with their show, but the couple of hot days we had recently almost shut them down. Fertilizing and shade has helped, but they are very heat sensitive and just a bit of overheating can really affect them. They are loving our current weather, though!

I hope to keep their blooms coming until my other cold hardy annuals and perennials bloom...irises, larkspur, sweet peas, sweet William, peonies, indigo, and more!

Recent wedding work...lots of ranunculus!
